Kite Day With Dad: A Father's Day Coloring Page
Coloring guide
On a grassy hill, a smiling dad stands right behind his little boy. They both hold the kite string, and the boy looks up at the sky with a huge grin. The diamond kite floats high in the corner, and its long tail ends in a curl of bow ties. You'll also spot puffy clouds, one small bird overhead, tufts of grass and rounded bushes along the hilltop. Dad is in a short-sleeved t-shirt, long pants and sneakers, and the boy has on a t-shirt, shorts and shoes. Everything is drawn large and clean, so preschoolers and early elementary kids can handle it with crayons or markers. A red and yellow kite with rainbow bows against a sky-blue background would look great. Print it at home whenever you need a quick coloring break. - bright blue
- light peach
- royal blue
- grass green
- pale sky blue
- chocolate brown
- golden yellow

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the clouds: color the three clouds pale sky blue and leave a little white at the edges for a soft look.
- 2Next, color the bushes and grass patches grass green, then fill the left and right kite panels with bright blue and grass green.
- 3Color dad's shirt bright blue and his pants royal blue, and fill the boy's shirt with bright red and his shorts with golden yellow.
- 4Fill the faces, arms, hands, and the boy's legs with light peach, then color the hair of both dad and the boy chocolate brown.
- 5Finish with the bird in golden yellow, the gray shoes in cool gray, and the boy's blue shoes in bright blue. Leave the socks, shoe soles, and the small shirt highlight white.
- 6Optional: add a darker tone of your main color along one side of the shirt and pants to make them look more shaded.
