Decorating the Classroom with Hearts for Teacher Appreciation Day
Coloring guide
Your eye lands first on the ponytailed girl standing on a wooden stool, clipping paper hearts to a string across the classroom. Around her, a boy in a hoodie holds up a long flower garland, a girl with long wavy hair and a headband holds a single heart, and two more children sit on the floor making flower chains and cutting out hearts. Look for the big scalloped heart with a star on the wall, a teacher's desk with pencil cups and a potted plant, shelves of bins, a spool of thread, scissors and a box of hearts. Soft pinks and reds work for the hearts, with yellow centers on the flowers. This free printable is good for kids and coloring fans of all ages. - 3Fill the faces and hands with peach skin, then color the boy's pants and the standing girl's jeans with denim blue.
- 4Color the sweaters: rose pink for the standing girl, lavender purple for the girl holding the heart, bright red for the boy on the right, grass green for the boy's hoodie, and golden yellow for the curly-haired girl's top.
- 5Add the hearts in bright red, pink, rose pink and coral red, color the big frame bright red and the star golden yellow.
- 6Finish with the wooden desk, crate and cabinet in burnt orange and the plant leaves in grass green. Optional: add a little darker shade along one side of each heart for depth.
