A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sea areas: color the ocean and water splashes in ocean blue, and the lighter wave edges in pale blue, leaving the white foam at the boat bottom and the bottom wave untouched.
- 2Color the sun and its reflection on the water in golden yellow, then fill the dolphins in slate gray, leaving the eyes white.
- 3Fill the boat hull and cabin: use coral red for the stripes along the roof, sides and railings, and cream white for the lower hull, keeping the front hull bottom white.
- 4Color the windows in sky blue and the boy and girl suits in ocean blue, adding light gray to the roof deck and the dome top stays white.
- 5Add the rocky cliffs in sandy tan and warm taupe, then the small jumping dolphin in ocean blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the dolphins and hull with a slightly darker slate gray or charcoal gray for depth, and leave tiny white highlights on the windows and water.
