Mom and Dora the Explorer Surrounded by Hearts
Coloring guide
Dora's mom stands behind her with one hand resting gently on Dora's shoulder, while Dora looks up with a big open-mouth smile. Dora has her bob haircut, a short-sleeved shirt, shorts, ruffled socks and sturdy shoes, plus her backpack and one hand held out to the side. Her mom has short hair, small earrings, a sleeveless dress with thin straps and flat sandals, and she smiles down at her daughter. Five outlined hearts float around the two of them, so it's a sweet choice for Mother's Day or a quiet afternoon craft. The large, open shapes are easy for small hands. Soft pink and red hearts, a bright orange or yellow shirt for Dora and a cheerful summery dress for Mom would look lovely. Keep this free page handy to print for an afternoon activity. Add this to your Dora the Explorer coloring page collection, alongside Sing (movie) and Demon Slayer.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sky blue
- warm tan
- dark brown
- bubblegum pink
- tangerine orange
- teal blue
- soft purple
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: fill Mom's long dress and top with sky blue, and color her sandals teal blue.
- 2Color both Mom's and Dora's hair dark brown, leaving the small shine spots on the hair white.
- 3Fill the faces, arms, necks, legs and Dora's ankles and ears with warm tan, keeping the dress shine highlight and hand highlight white.
- 4Color Dora's shirt bubblegum pink, her shorts tangerine orange, and her backpack soft purple, then add the three hearts in bubblegum pink.
- 5Finish by leaving the sneakers and the logo letters white, so they stand out against the colored parts.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of dark brown or sky blue along the edges of the dress and hair to give a little depth.
