Long-Haired Dragon Ball Z Fighter Reaching Out

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

• pale yellow
• bright orange
• peach
• royal blue
• golden yellow
• steel blue

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the skin: fill the face, neck, raised hand, fists and forearms with peach, leaving the small highlights on the knuckles uncolored.
2. 2Color the gi in bright orange: the big torso vest, the sleeve under the raised arm, the pants and the lower body, keeping the thin white creases between the folds.
3. 3Fill the blue parts next: the sleeve cuff, the undershirt under the vest, and the belt in royal blue, with the lighter steel blue on the stripes of the undershirt.
4. 4Work on the hair next: use pale yellow for most of the spikes, then add golden yellow to the darker inner sections of the big back spikes and the spikes at the top of the head.
5. 5Leave white streaks on the hair spikes and the belt edge so they look shiny, and keep the background white.
6. 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of the same color along the edges of the hair and vest to add depth.
