A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Start with the sky and the bunting background: fill the open sky above the lanterns and garlands with pale sky blue, leaving the flags and lantern outlines white.
2. 2Color the cobblestone path and the warm gray stones with warm gray, then add the robot's screen in medium gray and deep blue for a nice contrast.
3. 3Fill the dragon costume in leaf green and lime green, add butter yellow on the belly, and color the golden yellow lantern at the top left.
4. 4Paint the princess dress in coral pink, light pink and coral red, add orange and tangerine on the skirt, and fill the robot in sky blue with its light peach hands and face.
5. 5Color the pumpkin costume in orange, the puppy in light peach, and the castle roofs in soft teal. Keep the awning stripe and the waving hand white.
6. 6Optional: Add a little shading by darkening the edges of the dress and the cobblestones with a slightly deeper shade of the same color.
