He has spiky short hair, a big open-mouth smile and a short-sleeved t-shirt with a round collar. His other hand rests on an open notebook with neat ruled lines, and a pencil lies on the desk at the lower left. Behind him you'll see a four-pane window with fluffy clouds in the sky and a round wall clock with simple tick marks. It's a nice choice for the first week of school or a chat about taking turns and joining in. Sky blue for the window, a bright yellow pencil and his favorite shirt color would all work. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the boy's skin: color his face, ears, neck, and raised arm with peach skin, leaving the small cheek highlight white.
- 2Fill the hair with dark brown, then color the window frame and crossbars with caramel brown.
- 3Color the t-shirt and its collar and sleeve in sky blue and royal blue, and the two chairs with golden yellow.
- 4Fill the window panes with light blue for the sky and leaf green and olive green for the grass, adding teal green and sage green to the trees, leaving the cloud white.
- 5Color the open notebook pages with cream, and the mouth with coral pink, then use bright red for the clock rim.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading on the hair and shirt folds with a darker shade of the same color for depth.
