Easter Bunny and Chick Sharing a Decorated Egg

Peeking over a big Easter egg with both paws resting on top, a happy bunny with tall, rounded ears has a little baby chick sitting close beside it. The egg has zigzag bands across the top and bottom and a middle row of circles, so there are lots of patterns to fill in. The bunny has a wide open smile, big shiny eyes, whiskers and a fluffy tuft of fur on its head, and its round tail shows on the left. The chick has a tiny beak, a cheerful face, a small tuft on its head and little feet stuck out in front. With no background, the page stays clean and easy for small hands. Pastel purple and sunny yellow suit the zigzags and dots on the egg, and a soft gray or warm brown works for the bunny. Print the free PDF at home for a screen-free activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the bunny's head, body, big ears and paw with warm brown, and leave the two eye whites bright white.
- 2Color the inside of the right ear light pink, then add coral pink to the bunny's nose and tongue.
- 3Paint the egg's top and bottom zigzag bands and its top and bottom sections with sky blue, and fill the two stripes beside the middle band with golden yellow.
- 4Color the middle band of the egg rose pink and fill the three round dots with lavender, leaving them open in the center if you like.
- 5Color the chick's body golden yellow, then add tangerine orange to its beak and both feet.
- 6Add cream to the bunny's tail and the fluffy patch under its chin. Optional: add slightly darker strokes on the bunny and egg for a little depth.
