One Big Easter Egg with Zigzags and Circles

Coloring guide
There's just one egg on this page, but it's a large one, resting in a few tufts of grass at the bottom. Three wavy zigzag bands cross it, and two rows of three round circles sit between them, so the pattern is simple to follow. Big shapes and bold outlines make it a nice choice for preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on pencil control. All the sections are open and roomy, so crayons and chunky markers work just as well as colored pencils. Try a different spring shade for each zigzag band, like lavender, mint and sunny yellow, and fill the circles with bright pink or sky blue to get a polka dot look. The grass at the bottom can take a few greens. It's free to print, so go ahead and keep a few spare copies on hand. Kids who like Easter Eggs coloring pages usually enjoy Easter for Kids and Baby Chicks too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the top of the egg above the first zigzag with sky blue.
- 2Color the band just below it with golden yellow.
- 3Fill the wide band in the middle with coral pink, leaving the three upper circles white.
- 4Color the two thin zigzag bands with leaf green, one under the pink and one near the bottom.
- 5Fill the large lower band with golden yellow, keep its three circles white, and finish the bottom of the egg with sky blue.
- 6Optional: add a little shading at the edges of each band with a slightly darker shade of the same color to make the egg look rounder.
