Family Picnic Under a Big Tree, Printable For Kids
Coloring guide
Under a large leafy tree, a smiling family sits close together on a checkered picnic blanket. There's a dad, a mom with long hair, a little boy and a little girl in a headband, and both kids happily hold sandwiches. In front of them are a woven picnic basket, a plate with more sandwiches and crackers, and a bowl of fruit with an apple, grapes and a banana. A butterfly flutters near the branches, while small flowers, grass tufts and bushes fill the background. The checkered blanket and the tree bark are great for practicing careful coloring. Red and green suit the apple and grapes, and a warm yellow banana makes the food stand out. Print this free page for your growing collection. - 2Color the father's and mother's shirts sky blue and rose pink, and the grass and bushes on both sides with lime green and grass green.
- 3Fill the faces, hands and arms with peach skin, leaving the eyes and teeth white, then add dark chocolate brown to the boy's hair and caramel brown to the mother's hair.
- 4Color the blanket squares in coral red and pale peach, leaving the white squares untouched, then add wheat beige to the father's pants and denim blue to the jeans and the basket shadows.
- 5Add golden yellow to the boy's shirt and banana, cherry red to the apple, lavender purple to the girl's top, and bright turquoise to the fruit bowl.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra caramel brown to the basket and deeper shadows under the sandwiches for depth.
