Winter Family Watching New Year Fireworks Over the City
Coloring guide
A smiling family of four huddles together on a balcony and looks up as fireworks burst across the sky. The man and woman stand at the back in fur-trimmed winter coats and striped scarves, and the boy and girl in front wear knit pom-pom hats. Mom has long wavy hair, and the girl has a braid and holds her hands together near her chest. Beyond the balcony is a city skyline with a clock tower, tall buildings and a domed building, next to a river with a bridge and a small boat. Small stars, string lights, snowy bushes and a lantern fill the edges. Gold, pink and electric blue are fun for the fireworks, and bright stripes will make the scarves stand out from the coats. Print it free and add it to your pile. Kids who like New Year coloring pages usually enjoy Snowman and Chinese New Year too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big jackets: color the dad's and mom's coats bright red and the boy's puffer jacket and the girl's coat coral pink as shown, leaving the fur collars cream.
- 2Fill the sky and river with sky blue and navy blue, and color the family's skin areas with peach skin, keeping the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Color the scarves next: add forest green and light beige stripes on the boy's scarf, and brick red and bright red stripes on the dad's scarf, leaving some stripes white.
- 4Add the hair and hats: use brown for the dad's hair and the dad's and mom's hair details, and color the boy's hat with bright blue and light beige.
- 5Color the plants and lanterns, leaving the snowy plant tops and the lantern glass white, then add slate blue for the dark details on the left building.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of each color on the folds of the coats and under the chins for a more cozy, 3D look.
