Top Hat Baby on a Cloud, a New Year Banner to Fill In
Coloring guide
Sitting on a puffy cloud, a cheerful baby in a tall top hat holds a blank ribbon banner with both little fists. The baby wears a diaper with side tabs and has big sparkly eyes, a wide open-mouth smile and a few wisps of hair peeking out from under the hat brim. Bare feet with tiny toes poke out at the bottom, and outlined stars in different sizes float around. The empty banner is the best part, since kids can write a name, an age or a New Year message on it before they color. Sky blue for the top hat and soft yellow for the stars will help the baby stand out against the cloud. Print this sheet at home for a quick coloring break any time. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cloud and the diaper: fill them with baby blue, and leave the background around them white.
- 2Color the face, ears, fists, legs, belly, and chest with peach skin, keeping the eye whites and the small shine spots white.
- 3Fill the banner and all eight stars with golden yellow, including the two folded tails at the sides.
- 4Color the top hat crown and brim with royal blue, the hat band with bright red, and the diaper straps with sky blue.
- 5Add chestnut brown to the hair and coral pink to the open mouth, then leave the pupils dark or add a small highlight.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of peach skin along the edges of the face and legs for a bit of depth.
