Firefighter Carrying a Little Girl and Her Teddy Bear
Coloring guide
A smiling firefighter in a helmet and a jacket with reflective stripes cradles a little girl wrapped in a big blanket. She hugs a small teddy bear to her chest and looks up at him with a happy face. They're in a quiet backyard with a house with a window, a wooden fence, a leafy tree, round bushes, tufts of grass and two fluffy clouds overhead. The large, clean outlines make it a good free printable for young children and for classroom lessons on community helpers. Yellow or red would suit the helmet and jacket stripes, and a soft lavender or sky blue blanket will make the girl and her teddy bear stand out. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the firefighter's jacket, trousers and boots in golden yellow, and the girl's wrapping blanket in rose pink.
- 2Fill the grass and the bottom of the picture with bright green, and color the trees, bushes and fence in grass green and medium brown.
- 3Use lemon yellow for the helmet badge and the reflective stripes on the sleeves and jacket, and bright red for the helmet itself.
- 4Color the face, hands and neck in skin tone, the teddy bear in medium brown, and the girl's hair in medium brown as well.
- 5Add light gray to the reflective stripes on the jacket and sleeves, and pale yellow to the house walls, leaving the window panes in pale blue and sky blue.
- 6Optional: Leave the eye whites, window frames and background gaps white, and add a little brick red shading to the helmet brim for depth.
