Kitten Rescue: Firefighter on a Tall Ladder in a Tree
Coloring guide
Here a smiling firefighter in a wide-brimmed helmet climbs a tall ladder leaning on a big tree trunk, reaching up for a little striped kitten sitting on a leafy branch. He has on a jacket with reflective stripes, boots and an air tank on his back. One hand holds a rung while the other stretches higher. The kitten peers down with big round eyes. Behind them is a sunny sky with a sun and two puffy clouds, plus rounded bushes and small grass tufts on the ground. The large leaves are fun to fill in, and the wide suit stripes give kids clear spaces to color. Bright yellow works for the helmet and stripes, and warm orange for the kitten's tiger stripes. A free printable for kids who love helper stories and animals. If you enjoyed this Firefighter page, don't miss our Banana and Camping coloring pages.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the sky blue clouds and the top left cloud, then fill the sun with golden yellow and its rays with the same yellow.
- 2Fill the grass and bushes in lime green, bright green and deep green, leaving the bright white gaps between the ladder and the tree alone.
- 3Color the firefighter's uniform in fire red, covering the jacket, pants, helmet and arm sleeves, and add golden yellow stripes on the sleeves, pants and boots.
- 4Paint the kitten in tangerine orange with darker stripes, then add the face and hand in peach skin and the hair in chestnut brown.
- 5Color the ladder in caramel brown, the oxygen tank in slate gray, the boots and belt in charcoal, and the tree bark knot in chestnut brown.
- 6Optional: add light shading on the leaves and tree trunk, and keep the kitten's eye whites and the helmet highlight white for a bright finish.
