Fishing at the Pond, a Chhota Bheem Coloring Page
Coloring guide
Sitting cross-legged on a grassy bank, a cheerful young boy with a little topknot holds a long bamboo fishing rod, and a small fish leaps out of the water at the end of the line. He's barefoot and wears a simple wrap-style top, a sash at the waist and cuffed pants. Splashes ripple around the fish, and a wooden rowboat floats calmly behind him. Up front on the water you'll see a lily blossom, a closed bud and two big lily pads, with cattails and tall grass along the left and right edges. Bold, clean outlines and roomy shapes work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Soft greens suit the grass and lily pads, and a bright orange fish will stand out nicely. - 1Color the grass island and the tall reed grass in light green, then add darker grass green to the grass tufts and the lily pads.
- 2Fill the pond water and ripples with sky blue, and paint the dirt edge of the island and the wooden boat in wood brown.
- 3Color the boy's face, ears, neck, hands and bare feet in peach, leaving the eye whites white, then fill his hair and top bun in dark brown.
- 4Paint the boy's blue outfit in royal blue and the lighter sash and pant cuffs in pale blue, then add a bright red hair tie.
- 5Color the cattails in tan brown, the lotus flowers in pink, and the fish in golden yellow with an orange tail.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading to the outfit and the grass edges, and leave small highlights white to make the drawing pop.
