Five Caterpillars Counting From 1 to 50

Coloring guide
Five smiling caterpillars stand side by side, each with a round face, big eyes and curly eyelashes on top. Their bodies are stacked circles, and every circle holds a number from 1 to 50. The first caterpillar starts at 1, the second at 11, the third at 21, the fourth at 31 and the fifth at 41. The odd numbers are already printed, while the even circles are left empty, so kids can write in the missing ones. The last circle in each body shows 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50. This makes a handy counting by ones and skip counting exercise. Try having children write the missing numbers first, then color each caterpillar a different shade so the five columns of ten are easy to tell apart. This printable page works well for early math centers or quiet homework time.
