Skating Flamingo in a Striped Winter Scarf
Coloring guide
Lace-up ice skates carry this cheerful flamingo across a frozen pond, with one leg lifted behind and a striped scarf blowing over its shoulder. Two snow-dusted evergreens and soft mounds of snow stand behind the skater, and big snowflakes and little round snowballs drift through the sky. Curved lines on the ice trace where the skates have swirled around. The large feathered wing, curved beak and wide eye are easy to reach with a crayon, and the scarf stripes add a small challenge for little hands. Bright pink works for the flamingo, and red and white or two winter blues will make the scarf stand out. This free printable is a fun choice for a snowy day at home or in the classroom. - 3Color the scarf with red and sky blue stripes, and make the knot at the neck taupe brown.
- 4Fill the trees with forest green, leaving the snowy tops and lower snow edges white.
- 5Color the ice rink with pale ice blue and its edges with pale blue, then color the skate blades steel gray and the boot cuffs sky blue.
- 6Optional: add a little steel gray shading under the flamingo's body and wing to make it look more rounded.
