This cheerful flamingo stands tall on two long, thin legs in shallow water, with both wings raised high and wide like it's dancing. The curvy S-shaped neck, big round eye and open, smiling beak make it look playful. Scalloped feathers cover the wings and body, so there are lots of small sections to fill in. Ripples circle the legs, a few water droplets splash up on each side, and tall grass blades and small leafy bushes line the shoreline at the left and right edges. - 1Color the flamingo's body, neck and the darker wing feathers with hot pink, working from the center outward.
- 2Fill the lighter rows of wing feathers, the ones near the middle of each wing, with light pink to create a soft two-tone look.
- 3Color the beak with peach, then use coral orange for the long legs and salmon pink for the upper leg bands.
- 4Color the grass and bushes on both sides with leaf green, and fill the splashes with ocean blue and the water ripples with light blue.
- 5Leave the background, the eye and the highlights white so the flamingo stands out against the water.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of hot pink along the lower edges of the wings for a little depth.
