A rectangular flag outline fills the page, with two bands crossing corner to corner in a big X. Right in the middle sits a round seal with a beaded edge. The ring around it reads GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA across the top and IN GOD WE TRUST along the bottom, with a small star on each side. Inside the seal, a woman in a long dress stands on the left holding flowers. A tall palm tree rises behind her, a steamboat with smoke sails on the water at right, and plants and small blooms cover the ground. Kids can color the X bands in one bold color and save the fine seal details for colored pencils. It also works well for a state symbols lesson, where students look up what each part of the seal stands for.
