Flying Bat With Wide Open Wings Drawing

Coloring guide
A single bat flies straight toward us with both wings stretched wide. Its furry body is drawn with lots of short, scratchy lines, and you can see the small rounded ears, the open mouth with tiny teeth, and a thin tail curling down below. The wing membranes are stretched between long finger bones, with a little thumb claw poking up at each top corner. Light hatching marks add shading across the wings. The big open wing sections are great for kids who like to blend colors, such as dusky purple fading into brown or gray. This page is free to print, and it also works well for a science lesson. Kids can point out the finger bones inside the wings and talk about how bats fly.
