Superhero Dog Man Soaring Above the Skyline
Coloring guide
One fist stretched out front and the other tucked in, this determined cartoon dog zooms through the sky with his cape streaming behind him. He has long floppy ears, a black nose, a few freckle dots on his snout and a confident smile under furrowed brows. His outfit includes a round chest collar, a wide belt with a rounded buckle and chunky boots. Down below is a city skyline with square windows, an antenna, a rooftop vent and a water tower, and three fluffy clouds drift across the open sky. Little hands will do fine with the big shapes, while older kids can spend time on the buildings. A bright red cape on a blue suit works nicely, and soft gray clouds help the hero stand out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big dog head, top of the head and the front ear in caramel orange, leaving the eye whites and the small nose shine white.
- 2Color the flowing cape, both fists, both boots, the collar and the arm in bright red, so the superhero look pops.
- 3Fill the suit chest, lower body and right arm in royal blue, then add the belt and its buckle in bright yellow and leave the buckle center white if you like a shine.
- 4Give the back ear a sienna brown tone and the inner ear a dark taupe, then add the clouds and the lower building sections in pale blue and light blue.
- 5Color the city rooftops and chimney in light gray, the tall tower in pale tan, the water tower body in golden yellow with a dark taupe roof, and the small buildings in purple, teal and coral pink.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the cape and the boots to make them look more three-dimensional.
