Waving Dog Man Puppy in Cap and Star Sweater
Coloring guide
One hand is raised in a big hello and the other rests on the hip of this cheerful cartoon puppy. A paneled baseball-style cap sits over its long floppy ears, and its sweater has a round collar and a large star in the middle. Long pants and chunky boots round out the outfit. The pup has wide sparkly eyes, a little dark nose and an open smile with its tongue showing. A small fluffy tree and a tiny patch of grass sit to the right by its feet. With bold lines and big shapes, this free printable is easy for preschoolers and early grade-schoolers. Try a sunny yellow star on a bright blue sweater, pick any favorite color for the cap, and keep the ears a warm brown for contrast. This fits right in with our Dog Man coloring pages — see also Naruto and Transformers.

- 1Start with the dog's face, paw, and hand in warm tan, leaving the two eye whites and the shine spots in the eyes white.
- 2Color the sweater and the shoes in bright red, then fill the star, collar, belt, and both wrist cuffs in lemon yellow.
- 3Fill the pants and the cap, including the brim and the three panels, in bright blue.
- 4Color both floppy ears and the tree trunk in chocolate brown, and the tree crown in leaf green.
- 5Add a coral pink tongue inside the open mouth and leave the shoe soles white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the ears and under the cap brim with a deeper brown or blue for depth.
