Winged Unicorns Flying Through Clouds and Stars
Coloring guide
Wings spread wide, a smiling baby unicorn with big sparkly eyes soars across the sky, front legs tucked up like it's mid-leap. Its horn is a striped spiral, and it has a long wavy mane and a flowing curly tail. Fluffy clouds sit in the corners while small four-point stars twinkle everywhere. Large wing feathers and a swirly mane let kids practice careful coloring, and the clouds and stars are quick to fill in. You could shade each row of feathers in a different pastel, say pink, lilac and sky blue, and spiral a rainbow up the horn. It's a free printable that fits a quiet afternoon at home or a classroom session with crayons, markers or pencils. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big clouds at the bottom and in the corners with pale blue, leaving the unicorn and the sky white.
- 2Fill the wings with a mix of rose pink on the top feathers, pale yellow in the middle, and lavender purple and sky blue on the lower feathers.
- 3Color the flowing mane and tail in stripes of rose pink, pale yellow, sky blue and lavender purple, following the direction of the hair.
- 4Add the hooves and inner ears in rose pink and light pink, and color the horn pale yellow with a golden yellow star at the top.
- 5Keep the body, head, raised leg, belly, cheeks and the white spiral on the horn white to make them pop.
- 6Optional: add a little extra sky blue along the cloud edges and the tail tips to deepen the shading.
