Four little Hatchimals stand in a friendly row, and the two in the middle look like they're holding hands. The one on the left is zebra-like, with stripes, a fluffy mane, tiny wings and a tufted tail. Next comes a horned, dragon-like friend with a spiked tail and a round belly patch. Third is a tiger-striped, cat-like creature with pointed ears and feathery chest fur. On the right, a round penguin-like one has a small head tuft and a shy smile. Every one of them has big sparkly eyes and a happy face. With no background, the characters are easy to color, and kids who love cute animal groups will enjoy this free printable. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big orange areas: color the pony's body, head, wing, and tail, plus the cat's head, body, and tail in orange, leaving the eye whites and background white.
- 2Fill the dragon in sky blue, including its head, arms, back legs, and tail, and add cream to its chest and belly.
- 3Color the penguin's body and head in lavender purple, and use cream for its belly and face patch.
- 4Add golden yellow to the pony's mane and the spikes on its back, and bright yellow to the dragon's horns and the small details on the nose and eyes.
- 5Use dark brown for the pony's stripes and hoof markings, and burnt orange for the cat's stripes and paws. Optional: add a little extra shading on the darker sides of each character for depth.
