Zooming Puppy Hatchimal With Floppy Ears
Coloring guide
This sweet outline drawing shows a round-headed puppy creature zooming through the air. It has big floppy ears and one shiny, wide-open eye. The body is curled into a ball, with two front paws stretched out and a small feathery wing poking from its side. Look closely and you'll find a dark oval eyebrow mark, a black triangle nose, and a tiny open mouth with one little tooth showing. With no background, the pup stands out against the white page, and the big simple shapes suit younger kids well. Warm caramel brown would look great on the ears and the patch around the eye. A soft sky blue or pink works nicely for the wing. Download the free PDF for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- caramel orange
- chocolate brown
- cream
- bubblegum pink
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big round body, the back haunch, and the hind leg with caramel orange, leaving the eye shine and eye highlight white.
- 2Color both floppy ears and the top ear with chocolate brown, keeping the inner right ear for later.
- 3Paint the muzzle, lower jaw, lower cheek, wing, belly, and fluffy belly tuft in cream, leaving the teeth white.
- 4Add the tongue and inner right ear in bubblegum pink so they pop against the cream and brown.
- 5Finish the front paws and legs in caramel orange, and fill the wing base in cream so it blends into the body.
- 6Optional: Add a few light back-and-forth strokes of a darker shade to the brown ears and orange body to give a soft fur texture.
