Four Seasons Tree Activity Sheets with Squirrel and Snowman
Coloring guide
One big tree fills this page, and each part of it shows a different season. The left side is covered in spring blossoms, with butterflies fluttering nearby and a squirrel on a branch holding an acorn. The top right has full summer leaves with a small bird perched among them. Below that, autumn leaves drift down toward a grassy hill with a wooden fence, and a few flowers and tulips grow at the bottom left. On the lower right, bare branches stand in falling snowflakes next to pine trees and a smiling snowman in a knit hat and scarf. A sun, clouds, birds and a farmhouse with a fence fill the background. Pink and white blossoms, fresh green summer leaves and a red scarf on the snowman are good picks. Print this free PDF for a screen-free activity at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the tree trunk and the thick roots at the bottom, filling them with warm brown and leaving the small knot on the trunk as is.
- 2Color the big green patch on the right side of the tree and the snowy bush at the lower right with lime green, leaving the bare snowy branches white.
- 3Fill the grass, the bottom left plants and the small bushes with lime green and medium green, then use forest green for the tall pine trees on the right.
- 4Color the sun and the bird golden yellow, the squirrel orange, and the clouds and sky patch sky blue.
- 5Add medium green to the leaves on the right side and the house bushes, and use dark brown for the thin branches on the right.
- 6Optional: Keep all the blossoms, the snowman, the snow and the left canopy white, and add a few olive green touches on the lower right branches for depth.
