Beach Shell Hunt with Fox and Otter, Octonauts Divers
Coloring guide
Kneeling on the sand in matching diving suits, a cheerful fox and a little otter sort through a woven basket full of shells. The fox has a snorkel mask pushed up on its head and holds a scallop shell. The otter holds a round shell and rests a paw on the basket's rim. Both have air tanks strapped on. Scattered along the shore are a smiling starfish, a second starfish, a happy crab with raised claws, a scallop shell, a spiral snail shell, and a small round shell. Calm waves, a rocky outcrop, and puffy clouds fill the background. Bold outlines and a mix of big and small areas work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Soft orange for the fox, warm brown for the otter, and pink and yellow shells would be a pretty combination. Save it as a free PDF for a quiet moment of coloring. - 1Start with the big orange areas: color the fox's face, ears, and tail in orange, leaving the tail tip and the fox's paws white.
- 2Fill the wetsuits in blue: use ocean blue for the fox's and otter's suits, royal blue for the arms, and navy blue for the shaded parts of the suits and straps.
- 3Color the otter's head and paws in caramel brown, and the crab in coral red, leaving the eye whites and shine spots white.
- 4Add the sea in light sky blue, the sand in pale yellow, and the rocks and clouds in light gray, keeping the clouds white.
- 5Color the basket in honey gold, then add the shells in pink, cream, and tan, and the bottle cap in light sky blue.
- 6Finish with yellow tanks, the green plant on the rock, and the dark blue snorkel tip for the final details.
