Fred and Barney Driving Through Flying Boulders With Dino

Two cartoon cavemen ride in a log-and-stone car that is smashing through a pile of rocks. The driver on the right has spiky hair and holds a steering wheel. The passenger beside him wears a small hat and grins. Behind them a friendly dinosaur with a wide smile pokes its head over a torn banner. Round boulders and little pebbles fly in every direction, and a few bare branches stick out of the debris. The car has rolled log ends along its sides, a big rounded stone wheel at the back, and curved speed lines showing it is moving fast. A tall pole leans up on the left side of the car. Try coloring the boulders in several shades of gray and brown so they look like they are tumbling, then use bright colors for the car and the dinosaur. Kids can also count how many rocks are flying around the scene. It is a good page for practicing small shapes and shading.
