Maestro Fred Flintstone Conducting with a Baton
Coloring guide
Eyes closed and mouth open in a big smile, Fred Flintstone conducts an orchestra we can't see. One hand holds a long baton high in the air, and the other lifts a finger as if cueing a special entrance. He's in his spotted caveman outfit with the jagged hem, a black bow tie, and his usual messy hair, and he's barefoot. In front of him is a tilted music stand on a round base, with a few small notes or marks on the sheet. Bold outlines and large open areas make it easy for younger kids, and the bow tie and hair are good for practicing careful control. Bright orange with deep black spots for the outfit and a blue bow tie for contrast would look sharp. Print this free page for a fun afternoon activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the tunic in bright orange, covering the whole front, the sides and the leopard-print spots so it looks like Fred's outfit.
- 2Fill the music stand top, its front panel and its corner with warm brown, keeping the lighter edge near the bottom corner.
- 3Color the face, neck, forehead, both arms, both hands, both legs and both feet in light peach.
- 4Shade the stand base with light gray and leave the small bright areas at the bottom of the stand, the eye whites and the background white.
- 5Optional: add a little darker orange along the tunic edges and a touch of extra brown under the stand top for depth.
