A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the troll's fur body, arms, and legs in warm brown, leaving the eye whites, teeth, and the marshmallow white.
- 2Fill the troll's face, ears, and hands with peach tan, then add the warm brown hair on top of the head.
- 3Color the pine trees and grass in leaf green and lime green, and use forest green for the distant trees behind the lake.
- 4Paint the tent in lime green and leaf green, and the backpack in steel blue, adding darker tent shadows in forest green.
- 5Color the fire with tangerine orange on the outside and golden yellow in the center, then fill the stones in stone gray and the logs in warm brown and chocolate brown.
- 6Optional: Finish with the moon in pale yellow, the lake in sky blue, and the ivory pendant on the troll's neck, keeping the star and eye highlights white.
