Picnic Time for a Troll Family Under the Tree

Four smiling trolls with tall, swooping hair sit together on a checkered picnic blanket, and each one is munching on a snack. The girl troll on the left has a flower crown and a sandwich, and the bigger troll on the right, in a fuzzy vest, is holding a sandwich too. Two smaller trolls sit in front. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big tree and grass: color the tree trunk and branches brown, the leaves leaf green, and the grass and bushes light green, leaving the sky and background white.
- 2Fill the boy troll's hair and face in royal blue and pale blue, then add sky blue to his nose and keep the eye whites white.
- 3Color the girl troll's hair hot pink, her face and arms peach, and her dress lavender purple, with the flowers in her hair left white.
- 4Paint the little green troll in teal green hair, mint green body and legs, and the pink troll in light pink with hot pink hair, adding golden yellow to the shorts.
- 5Color the checkered picnic blanket with cream and coral pink squares, the fruit bowl sky blue, and the apples and strawberries red, leaving the teapot white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shade of each hair color along the edges for depth, and finish with a red apple in the little green troll's hand.
