Friendly Waving Tennis Ball Character

Coloring guide
Meet a cheerful round ball with a big open smile, standing on two little legs and waving hello with one raised hand. Small motion lines next to the hand show the wave. It has wide, shiny eyes, curved eyebrows and the two curved seam lines that make it look like a real ball. The other arm hangs at its side, both hands wear little cuffs, and it has oversized rounded shoes with cuffed socks. The plain white background keeps things simple for little colorers. Thick outlines and large open areas suit preschoolers and early elementary kids. Try optic yellow-green for the ball and blue or red for the shoes. Print it free for a sports lesson or a quiet afternoon. This fits right in with our Tennis coloring pages — see also Soccer and NHL / Hockey.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big round tennis ball body, including both arms and both legs, with lime green.
- 2Color the two curved seam stripes on the ball with cream white so they stand out from the green.
- 3Fill both shoes with sky blue, leaving the white soles and cuffs untouched.
- 4Color the open smiling mouth with rose red and add a coral pink tongue at the bottom of the mouth.
- 5Keep the waving hand, the other hand, the sleeve cuffs, and the eye whites and small shine spots white.
- 6Optional: add a little slightly darker lime green along the edges of the ball for a bit of depth.
