With big round eyes and spots on its head and back, a smiling frog leaps over flat stepping stones in a rippling pond, one front hand just touching down on the nearest stone. Tall ferns and blooming flowers frame both sides of the page, and a few rocks sit along the water's edge. In the bottom left corner, a little ladybug rests on a curved leaf. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the frog's body, head, arms and legs with light green, along with the big front and middle stepping stones.
- 2Color the pond water around the stones with sky blue, leaving thin white ripples between the waves.
- 3Paint the fern fronds, grass blades and the big leaf at the bottom left with forest green.
- 4Color the rocks and the pond bank with tan beige, then add the open mouth in coral pink and the inside in dark red.
- 5Use bright red for the ladybug's body and rose pink for the flower petals, keeping the petals' outlines clean.
- 6Optional: Add lime green to the frog's toes and a few grass tips for contrast, and leave the frog's eye whites bright white.
