Ghost Sheet Spooks Tom and Jerry Beside the TV
Coloring guide
Tom is frozen mid-scare, arms thrown up, mouth wide open and a sweat drop flying off his face as he backs away from a tall, billowing ghost. The ghost is a flowing sheet with dark open holes for eyes and a mouth, and clawed hands reaching toward Tom. An old-fashioned television sits behind them, with little lines around the screen to show it's glowing or buzzing. Jerry scampers along the floor in the bottom corner, looking up at all the commotion. Motion lines add lots of energy, so this works well for Halloween or a spooky story day. Soft blue-gray for Tom, pale lavender or white for the sheet and a bright yellow glow on the TV screen would be fun. Print the free PDF at home and add it to your growing pile of pages. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with golden yellow on the wall behind the TV and Tom, plus the motion lines around the TV, leaving the ghost sheet area white.
- 2Color the TV in steel blue gray for the screen, caramel brown for its sides and the shelf, and dark brown for the stand, with charcoal gray for the base shadow.
- 3Fill Tom in slate gray for his body, arms and legs, and light gray for his belly, keeping his eye whites, teeth and paw highlights white.
- 4Add sage green to the trousers at the middle and lower body, and lavender purple to the darker trouser parts, then use violet purple for the shaded leg area.
- 5Finish with coral pink for Tom's inner ear, burnt orange on the motion lines near the floor, and a light touch of cream white on the ghost sheet. Optional: add a few darker strokes of slate gray along Tom's body edges to make the shading look softer.
