Gingerbread Man Outside a Christmas Candy House
Coloring guide
A cheerful gingerbread man holds his arms out in front of a candy-covered gingerbread house, just waiting for color. The house has a scalloped icing roof dotted with round candies, a peppermint swirl on the gable and another at the peak, plus a brick chimney with a snowy cap. The arched door has a heart cutout, and there are two framed windows. Candy canes lean on the front walls, and a winding path of stepping stones lined with gumdrop-shaped candies leads to the door. Snowy mounds and two snow-covered pine trees sit behind the house. The gingerbread man has a bow tie, buttons and zigzag icing on his arms and legs. Warm browns work for the walls and cookie body, with red and green for the peppermints and candy canes. Download it as a free PDF, good for kids and coloring fans of any age. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the gingerbread man and the house walls and roof edges with gingerbread brown, leaving the white icing and highlights uncolored.
- 2Fill the door, the heart, and the red gumdrops and candy cane stripes with cherry red, and use brick red for the chimney bricks.
- 3Color the windows with sky blue, leaving a white shine on each pane.
- 4Use forest green for the Christmas trees, leaf green and olive green for the small gumdrops on the roof, and golden yellow for the yellow gumdrops.
- 5Color the path with ice blue and the doorstep with medium gray, keeping the stepping stones and the swirl candies white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the gingerbread brown areas and the tree edges to make the drawing pop.
