Gingerbread Men Greeting You at a Christmas Candy House
Coloring guide
Two smiling gingerbread men stand side by side in front of a candy-covered gingerbread house. Each one wears a bow tie and has wavy icing trim on the arms and legs, plus buttons down the middle. Behind them, an arched wooden door with a round swirly peppermint wreath sits between two windows with icing dots. Up above are a heart, a frosted roof with scalloped gumdrop edges, a big peppermint on the peak and a snowy chimney. Striped candy canes frame the corners, and a stepping-stone path lined with gumdrops leads to the door. Swirly lollipops, snowy bushes and two little evergreens fill the yard. Lots of small spaces here make it a good free printable for little hands. Warm brown suits the cookie friends, and red and white candy canes and peppermints will pop against soft pastel gumdrops. - 1Fill the large house walls, roof panels, and gingerbread men with gingerbread brown, leaving the snowy frosting on the roof, arch, and chimney white.
- 2Color the front door, its plank lines, the heart, and the round candy on the door with candy red, keeping the candy swirl's highlight white.
- 3Paint the windows and their panes with sky blue, leaving the thin frames as they are.
- 4Color the trees and hills with forest green, then fill the roof gumdrops and candy trail drops with lime green, bright orange, burnt orange, and golden yellow.
- 5Use candy red for the candy cane stripes and light tan for the stone path and doorstep, keeping the candy cane stripes that are white.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown along the edges of the gingerbread men and roof to make them look a bit more three dimensional.
