Animal Friends Standing Together, a Diversity & Inclusion Printable
Coloring guide
A baby giraffe, a little elephant, a bunny and a duckling huddle close for a friendly group portrait, all smiling. The giraffe stands tallest at the back with big round spots, a tufted tail and two small horns. Next to it is the elephant, with large round ears and a curled trunk. The bunny sits up front with paws together and long ears raised, and the duckling waddles along the right edge with a small wing and webbed feet. Three simple flowers and some grass tufts run across the bottom. Big open shapes are easy for young children, while the spots and ears give older kids more to work on. Try soft yellow and orange for the giraffe, gentle blue-gray for the elephant and bright pink for the flowers. This free printable is good for talking about friendship and how different we all are. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the giraffe's head, neck, and horn knobs with golden yellow, leaving the muzzle area for cream later.
- 2Color the elephant's head, body, trunk, and legs light gray, keeping the eyes and the toe shine white.
- 3Paint the bunny's body and head caramel brown, then fill its inner ears and the ears' edges with coral pink, leaving the highlight on its back white.
- 4Color the duckling's head and body lemon yellow, then give its beak and feet an orange tint, and fill the giraffe's muzzle and the bunny's tail with cream.
- 5Add chocolate brown spots along the giraffe's neck and legs, then color its tail, horn tips, and hooves in the same brown, and fill the elephant's ears in coral pink.
- 6Optional: Finish the flowers by keeping the petals white and filling their centers with lemon yellow, then add a few darker strokes on the shady sides of the animals.
