Sitting on the edge of a wooden dock in a floppy bucket hat, a smiling girl holds a fishing rod, and a fluffy kitten with a curly tail sits next to her. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky and water areas: color the pond water and the rainbow background bands light gray in the middle, sky blue for the water, leaving the water ripples and fishing line lightly shaded.
- 2Fill the bushes, grass, reeds and lily pads with leaf green and forest green, and use sea green for the cattail leaves.
- 3Color the girl's skin peach, including her face, arms, legs and neck, leaving the eye shines white.
- 4Add the hat in lemon yellow, the hat band in rose pink, and the shirt in rose pink, then fill the overalls and shorts with royal blue.
- 5Color the cat in tangerine orange and the dock, post and cattails in wood tan or dark brown, then add the boots in lemon yellow and the lotus flowers in blush pink.
- 6Optional: Add a little chestnut brown to the girl's hair and braid, and use amber orange for the rainbow stripes to finish.
