Girl Picking Up Eggs by the Pond for an Easter Egg Hunt
Coloring guide
A smiling girl wearing a puffed-sleeve dress, a hair bow and Mary Jane shoes bends down in the grass toward an egg hidden by her feet. Her other hand holds a woven basket with a few eggs inside already. On the calm pond behind her, two little ducklings float among lily pads and a water lily, and tall cattails frame both sides of the page. The meadow in front is dotted with small flowers and tufts of grass. Between the bow, the basket weave and the water ripples, there are big spaces and tiny details to color. Try soft yellow on the ducklings and bright pink on the hair bow, which helps the girl pop against the green grass. Print or download this free page for a fun afternoon. Looking for more? - 1Start with the big areas: color the girl's dress and sash-free bodice in sky blue, leaving the white collar and cuffs empty.
- 2Fill the girl's face, neck, arms and legs with light peach, keeping the eye whites bright.
- 3Color the hair in chestnut brown and add the coral pink bow at the top of the head.
- 4Paint the pond water in sky blue, the two ducks in golden yellow, and the lily pads in grass green and forest green, with the pink lily flower on top.
- 5Fill the basket in caramel brown, the eggs in orange, sky blue and lavender purple, and the shoes in bright red. Finish with grass in light green and grass green, and the cattails in chestnut brown. Optional: add a little shading to the dress with pale blue.
