Little Girl in a Sun Hat Carrying an Easter Basket
Coloring guide
A smiling little girl walks through a grassy meadow with a woven basket full of decorated Easter eggs. She has on a wide-brimmed hat with a big bow, a puff-sleeved dress with a scalloped hem, knee socks and Mary Jane shoes, and her wavy shoulder-length hair peeks out under the brim. The eggs in the basket come in polka dots, zigzag stripes and wavy lines, so small hands get plenty of detail to work on. Grass tufts and three simple flowers with round centers fill in the background. A soft yellow hat and bow, a pastel lilac dress, and a bright mix of colors on the eggs would help them pop against the basket. Print this free page for a classroom project or weekend craft. Add this to your Easter Baskets coloring page collection, alongside Easter Bunny and Easter Eggs.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: color the face, neck, arms, and legs peach, leaving the eye whites, the smile, and the flower petals white.
- 2Color the hat brim and crown golden yellow, then fill the hat band with apricot for a warm strip above the brim.
- 3Fill the dress top and skirt with soft pink, then color the dress hem and sleeve cuffs cream along the bottom edge.
- 4Use caramel brown for the hair, with darker dark brown touches near the back and bangs. Color the basket tan and add the bow in soft pink.
- 5Fill the eggs with a mix of sky blue, light pink, bright yellow, lilac purple, and salmon, leaving the white stripes and dots uncolored.
- 6Finish with grass green for the grass and flower stems, and keep the socks and flower petals white. Optional: add a little darker shading under the hat brim and along the dress folds.
