Ponytail Girl Shooting a Basketball Jump Shot
Coloring guide
This girl has a long ponytail and a big smile, and she's in mid-jump with both arms stretched overhead, having just let go of the basketball. Her outfit is a sleeveless jersey, loose shorts, knee-high socks and chunky sneakers, and her feet are tucked up behind her so the jump looks real. The ball floats above her head. At the upper right you'll find the backboard with its square target box and a net drawn in a crisscross pattern. Lines are clean and bold with lots of open white space, so younger kids with fat crayons and older kids who like adding details can both enjoy it. Royal blue or red would make a good team color for the jersey and shorts, with classic orange on the ball. It's a free printable for a classroom project or a weekend craft. - light peach
- chestnut brown
- bright red
- royal blue
- warm orange

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the face, neck, arms, hands and legs with light peach, leaving the eye whites and the shine spots white.
- 2Fill the hair and ponytail with chestnut brown, keeping the highlight strands a little lighter if you like.
- 3Color the tank top and shoes bright red, and fill the shorts with royal blue, leaving the white trim along the shorts and the socks white.
- 4Color the basketball warm orange, then add the black lines so the ball looks like it is flying toward the hoop.
- 5Color the hoop rim coral pink, leave the net and backboard white, and fill the small shoe buckles with warm gray.
- 6Optional: add a few light strokes of a darker shade in the hair, shirt and shorts to give them some depth.
