Making Paper Lanterns at the Craft Table, Chinese New Year

Coloring guide
A smiling girl with pigtails sits at a round table, holding a round paper lantern in both hands while she decorates it with a star and flowers. Two more finished lanterns with handles sit on either side of her, covered in stars, flowers and hearts. On the tabletop in front of her are a stack of folded paper sheets, a pair of scissors and a few cut-out shapes: a star, a heart and a flower. Bold, clean outlines and big decorated areas suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, while the small shapes give older kids some detail. Red and gold lanterns match the holiday theme, and bright pink or yellow works well for the paper flowers and stars. Print it at home, no sign-up needed.
