A friendly manta ray swoops toward you with its wide wings stretched out, big shiny eyes looking right at you and two curved fins beside its smiling face. Light rays shine down from the wavy water surface at the top, and small bubbles float all around. Below, five little striped clownfish swim together over a seafloor of branching coral, tube-shaped sponges and tall wavy seaweed. The long thin tail curls off to the left, and the large wings leave kids lots of space to color. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the light rays at the top with pale blue on the outer rays and sky blue on the two center rays, leaving the water background white.
- 2Fill the manta ray's cheek flaps with steel gray blue and its right wing tip and wing edge with dark slate gray, keeping the body and the eye whites white.
- 3Color the tall seaweed on both sides in leaf green, then add turquoise at the base of the far right seaweed.
- 4Color the reef corals with soft coral on the left and bottom, rose pink on the right side, and dusty mauve on the small mid coral; color the tube sponges soft purple.
- 5Color the fish with orange bodies and golden yellow fins, using light peach for the small fish, and leave the white stripes and eyes uncolored. Optional: add a slightly darker shade of each color on the corals for depth.
