This detailed night scene puts Godzilla on top of a rocky mountain peak, with a huge cratered full moon glowing right behind his head. His face is friendly with a slight smile, and he has a round belly with curved lines, small clawed hands, and big spiky plates that run down to a long scaly tail. Pine trees cover the slopes around the summit. Down below, a city spreads out with lots of buildings, a tall tower, a bridge over the water, and hills in the distance. Fluffy outlined clouds and little stars fill the sky. Big shapes and tiny details both get a turn here. A pale yellow moon and deep green Godzilla will stand out nicely against a dark blue sky, and warm yellow windows finish off the city. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky: fill the clouds and the upper sky with soft blue, and the dark patch on the left with navy blue, leaving the moon and stars white.
- 2Color Godzilla's head, back, arms and legs in leaf green, keeping the spikes along the back and tail white.
- 3Fill the long belly stripes and the lower chest with butter yellow, and color the moon's right edge with cream yellow.
- 4Paint the mountain rocks in light brown and the darker cracks and shadows in dark taupe, then add forest green to the pine trees at the bottom.
- 5Color the water and bridges with bright blue, and add cornflower blue touches to the distant hills if you like.
- 6Optional: Add a little deep teal to the darkest sky areas and forest green shading on the lower body for depth, keeping the city outlines white.
