Flagstick and Golf Ball Resting at the Cup

Coloring guide
A tall flagstick stands in the cup on a golf green. It has a round knob on top and a triangular pennant flying to the right. A dimpled golf ball rests right against the rim of the hole, as if it just rolled in or stopped short. Small grass tufts sit around the edges, and a gentle curved line makes the ground behind the flag. Large simple shapes and thick outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the ball's tiny dimples give older children some detail to tackle. A red or yellow flag, green grass and a light gray or white ball are good choices. Add this free printable to your growing collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the triangular flag in bright red, using light back-and-forth strokes to keep it smooth.
- 2Fill the long flagstick pole and its round top knob with golden yellow.
- 3Color the inside of the cup, the dark hole under the pole, in chocolate brown.
- 4Fill the ring around the cup, the rim on both sides, with light gray.
- 5Leave the golf ball and the grass tufts white so they stand out against the page.
- 6Optional: add a little darker red or brown along one edge of the flag or the cup to give them a bit of depth.
