Grandma Baking Christmas Gingerbread Men
Coloring guide
A smiling grandma with round glasses, a hair bun and a sprig of holly in her hair is pressing a cutter into rolled-out cookie dough. Her apron has a ruffled collar and goes over a puffy-sleeved dress. Two gingerbread man shapes are already cut out, and a tray of finished gingerbread men sits in front of her. The table also has a rolling pin, a spare cookie cutter and a big mixing bowl with hearts on it and a spoon inside. Through the window behind her you can see snowy evergreen trees, and a shelf holds a canister with hearts, a jug of utensils with a whisk and spatula, and a potted holly plant. Kids who love baking scenes will enjoy this free printable. Golden brown for the cookies and bright red for the apron and holly berries will make the gingerbread men stand out in the kitchen. This fits right in with our Christmas coloring pages — see also Summer and The Grinch.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background areas: color the window sky and the window trees with sky blue and forest green, leaving the snowy tops white.
- 2Fill the grandma's face and hands with warm peach, and her dress and sleeves with deep red, keeping the collar, cuffs and apron bow white.
- 3Color her hair and the apron with pale gray and silver gray, then add the gingerbread brown wooden counter and board.
- 4Paint the gingerbread men and cookie dough with gingerbread brown, and use honey brown for the rolling pin and the bowl's inner batter with golden yellow.
- 5Add the holly with forest green leaves and bright red berries, the bright red heart on the jar, and the deep red bowl band.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker gingerbread brown shading under the cookies and a touch of light cream on the jar and mug for a cozy finish.
