Grazing Sheep Nibbling Grass Among Flowers

Coloring guide
Here's a sweet, simple scene of a curly little sheep with its head lowered, munching on a tuft of grass. It has big floppy ears, round eyes looking down and a small smile while it eats. The body is built from puffy, cloud-like curls, with a fluffy tail at the back and neat hooves on the ground. You'll spot several grass clumps, a couple of tiny stray blades and three flowers, each with a round center and five petals. Thick outlines and roomy shapes make this free printable comfortable for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Cream or light gray works well for the curls, pink for the ears and nose, and yellow, purple or red flowers will stand out against green grass. This fits right in with our Sheep coloring pages — see also Penguin and Finding Nemo.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big fluffy body, the wool on the head, the chest, the tail and the wool behind the head in cream.
- 2Fill the face, the near ear and both legs with light brown, leaving the eye whites and teeth white.
- 3Color the far ear and all the flower petals soft pink, keeping the flower centers and stems white.
- 4Paint the two hooves dark brown, then color the grass blade by the mouth and the leaves on the flowers and grass in leaf green.
- 5Optional: Add a little darker shading under the wool and along the legs with a slightly deeper cream or brown for depth.
