Grumpy Horse with Folded Arms from Animal Crossing
Coloring guide
Standing in profile and facing left, this horse from the Animal Crossing series has his arms folded across his chest. A heavy-lidded eye and slightly tilted head give him a laid-back, unimpressed look. He has a spiky tuft of hair on his forehead, a jagged mane down his neck, a pointed ear and a small tail kicked out behind. His checkered, plaid-style shirt goes with long straight pants. There's no background, which keeps this free printable easy for little hands to finish. The big shirt panels are good practice for crisscross patterns. A red and black plaid shirt, chestnut brown for the horse and a darker shade for the mane and hair tuft would suit him. Kids can also draw their own backdrop, like a village path or a few trees. Kids who like Animal Crossing coloring pages usually enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog and Cuphead too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big horse head and lower legs in burnt orange, leaving the eye whites untouched.
- 2Color the muzzle and snout area in cream, then add the inner ear in coral pink.
- 3Fill the mane tufts, back spikes, and neck spikes in chestnut brown.
- 4Color the vest and sleeves in cornflower blue, and the lighter vest squares in light sky blue.
- 5Add the hands and folded arm in peach, then fill the cheek patch and snout tip with cream.
- 6Keep the eye whites and small eye shine white. Optional: add a little darker shading under the arms and vest to give depth.
