Guardian Angel Watching Over Two Children on a Cliff

A tall angel with long wavy hair and big arched wings stands behind two children, arms stretched out wide with open palms. The angel wears a long robe with a sash across the chest, a belt with ribbon ends hanging down, and wide flowing sleeves. A boy in a collared shirt and shorts reaches toward a butterfly on the left. On the right, a girl in a pinafore dress bends forward holding a bunch of flowers and picking one more. They stand on a rocky ledge with bushes, and a snake winds along the ground near the edge. A waterfall runs down the lower left, and small clouds sit in the sky. Try soft blues and golds for the wings and robe, then talk with kids about what the angel is protecting them from. The snake and the drop make a good starting point for that chat. The large shapes are easy for small hands to color, and the folds in the sleeves give older kids room to practice shading.
