Guitar-Strumming Spider Sitting on a Log

Coloring guide
Sitting on a big wooden log, this fluffy, round-eyed spider strums a small acoustic guitar with a happy, open-mouth smile. Its striped, segmented legs wrap around the guitar and a few tufts of fuzzy hair stick up on its head. Four music notes float nearby, so you can almost hear the tune. Two spotted mushrooms and some grass tufts fill the bottom corners below the log. The cut end of the log has a clear ring pattern, and bark lines run along the side, giving kids lots of texture to work with. Purple or deep blue would suit the spider, and a warm orange-brown guitar will stand out nicely. It's a free printable for a screen-free activity at home. - 1Fill the spider's head, body, arms, and all of its legs and fingers with lavender purple, leaving the two big eye whites bright white.
- 2Color the guitar body and the strumming area golden yellow, then use wood brown for the guitar neck and tuning pegs.
- 3Paint the main log and its bottom edge with wood brown, and use light wood tan for the round rings on the log ends.
- 4Color the mushroom caps tomato red and the stems cream white, keeping the white dots on the caps untouched.
- 5Add the music notes in sky blue, golden yellow, tomato red, and leaf green, and fill the grass tufts with bright lime.
- 6Optional: add a few darker purple strokes along the spider's legs and body for a little depth.
